if you have blackberry desktop manager you can open it, connect you blackberry device to your computer,wait until its finished initializing, a pop up appear to repair device but all these will be done without the battery being in the phone, when u click on repair the computer checks for an update and asks if you want to install click on yes,then it starts downloading.
after installing you now replace the battery. and wait for the reboot
