Best bet is to let the battery die completely, then charge it and turn it on normally. I just put a tab 3 into download mode myself after reading this post to see if there was an easy way out, none of the normal methods work (power + vol down/up/home). So from what i can see you just gotta drain it then charge it :) hope this helps.

+Edit: Guys, this method was ONLY for this model of device where the normal reset procedure was not working. Anyone applying this method to any other device should instead use the Vol Down + Power or Vol Down + Power + Home Button method as it’s much quicker than letting the device completely discharge it’s battery.

+Of course the other option is to pull the battery but a lot of people don’t want to open their device. Just clearing some things up because it seems some people can’t understand the context of this specific situation.
