Poor signal after screen replacement

A friend has taken a phone to have the screen replaced.

After the repair the phone has very poor signal. I've done a soft reset/ hard reset.  I then checked and the antenna is correctly attached and the bars in the right place.

I know on older models the short is something to  motherboard. Can this affect the 5 too.

Anyone found any fixes?
