I bought a replacement kit from icracked.com Very complete and comprehensive for the most part. I tested the new screen before sealing it up, worked great. Then I believe when I disconnected it and reconnected without turning the power off that did something goofy and gave me a white screen of death. After plugging and unplugging the digitizer cable it finally showed me a "needs charge" symbol. Relief!!!! So maybe I drained the battery enough . . or something wasn't connected properly. Not sure. But it looks like I have an apple symbol now. Good news. Tried the Home-Up Volume-Power restart but nothing happened. It looks like it's working again somehow. Going to seal this baby up. The home button feels dead though, after the replacement.
