Are there new magnets in the iPad Air unibody frame?

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

I have noticed some added magnetism on the side of the unibody case opposite the Smart Cover hinge. And I can see the new magnets in some of the iPad Air tear down pics. These magnets add functionality when using a Smart Cover. The cover no longer dangles lifelessly when folded around to the back of the iPad Air, now it stays flat and snug to the case thanks to these new magnets. Not the case in previous generations.

If I had to guess I would say we will also see some new accessories from Apple taking advantage of this added magnetic mounting point. Especially when you consider some of Apple's recent patents like these [http://www.patentlyapple.com/patently-apple/2013/02/apple-invents-advanced-ipad-magnetics-system-for-dual-ipad-notebook-tripod-stands-gaming-controller-much-more.html].

My company makes bamboo cases for iDevices [http://www.PEACHii.com]. And we offer our iPad cases with and without smart cover compatibility. We would appreciate some details on these new magnets. A breakdown similar or the iPad 2 Smart Cover teardown you guys did in the past would be awesome and much appreciated. Also a teardown of the new iPad Air Smart Cover would be great. Thanks
