Just replaced the screen on my unlocked iPhone 4 with a screen from the iPhone 4S I use for parts. What's been said here is correct- just swap the bezel and the screen will fit. I'll also note that you need to transfer the contact on the original button to the button that's built in to the 4S screen. Also, no problems with any of the electronics... ambient light sensor and screen work perfectly.
