Mac software including the EFI ROM are more picky about hardware failure.  Try disconnecting one piece of hardware at a time.  1) Start with only mouse, keyboard and monitor attached.  2) Detach CD Rom and attempt to boot. 3) Remove to one stick of Ram.  Attempt to boot, if unsuccessful swap other stick of Ram. 4)Pull ribbon to Wifi Card attempt to boot.
