How can I clean dirt behind the screen?

I have what looks like dirt or fine dust that has made its way behind the screen on my HTC Sensation Z710a. It is very visible when the screen is off and totally black or when there is a light coloured background.

I would like to know if and how I could remove the screen and clean it. As well as what I might do to prevent this in the future.
