There are 3 small battery terminals (shown below). You only want to touch the one to the far right (circled below). Avoid touching the other 2 terminals!!

Take a small screwdriver & touch the battery terminal & metal housing at the same time to ground it (MAKE SURE THE IDEVISE IS UNPLUGGED DURING THIS PROCESS).

Now plug in the power supply & you see the Apple boot logo. (NOTE: Make sure BOTH of the screen LCD connectors are plugged in the back of the iDevice).
