The right side of my earphones stopped working. (This is the 2nd set with the same problem, probably through rough usage)
The problem is not in the ear bud but in the wires near the base. (When I bend or move the cord near the base the sound in both ears works)
I stripped back the plastic casing and the wires are frayed.
There are 5 wires made of very thin filaments and one solid white one
- White
- red
- green
- striped green + orange
- striped red + orange
- striped red + green
white seems to the the only wire unscathed. The rest are very frayed (showing white underneath the orange/red/green filaments)
Any tips for fixing them or is it hopeless in this kind of case and should I just buy a new set?
