My home button "finger" broke, is this a problem?

Hello fixers,

I recently tried to repair my home button so I disassembled my phone and removed the button from the gasket.

After checking it on dirt I wanted to reassemble the button and the gasket but unfortunately one of the "fingers" of the actual button broke off.

I'm talking about these [http://guide-images.ifixit.net/igi/2exVWxOgCaAMI4UZ.huge|little fingers], one side is still intact.

(I still have an unresponsive home button because my part didn't arrive yet, so I can't tell...)
