i replaced the screen on my girlfriend's iPhone 4 and it's been great for a few days. Then today, while she was out, the phone shut off and wouldn't turn on without a wall charger.
it doesn't seem to be the screen connection, or any connection because the phone operates correctly. I reseated the battery twice, and the phone turns on now properly. What's happening now is that the phone is overheating after a few minutes of use.
Do you think the battery needs to be reseated again? The battery is bad? The battery connector was damaged?
The phone is holding charge and seems to be working properly aside from the overheating issue. Batteries are cheap, motherboards (though i haven't looked) probably aren't.
Thoughts? thanks in advance.
