Which adhesive to use?

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

Hello,

lately my sleep button broke and my home button has been unresponsive ever since.

Yesterday I opened my phone and took it apart until the home button was left, I wanted to fix it and looked if the home button, the gasket or the ribbon cable was the faulty part.

So I took the gasket off the glass and removed the home button from the gasket, there was no dirt or anything so I wanted to add them again which was no longer possible because the adhesive was gone...

So I just but it back on the glass and removed the ribbon cable, seeing no problem I put it back on the frame.

Now my home button is even more unresponsive than before, I ordered a new ribbon cable and wanted to glue the gasket and the button back together and to the screen...

I bought double sided tape, but that tape is too thick, if I glue the gasket with it back on the glass the button is no longer "clickable".

'''So I was wondering, what glue/tape or adhesive is used by Apple to keep those things together?''' - I want to avoid buying a new home button/gasket as I live in Germany and just buying the right adhesive would be much cheaper.

'''Can I use simple paper glue or do I need special glue or even different adhesive?'''

I read a lot about 3M tape but they have so much types of tape, I don't know which one to buy...

Thank you in advance!
