I could try it with an external firewire drive on a Intel processor machine.  Would that count?  Can we be investigative with this one?  This is something we may need to know and worth checking out                 co-operatively.  Next try a 10.4 to 10.6 upgrade and co-operatively post the results?  Thanks for the question lemerise.
