It just happened to my Mac Book Air 2009, I've called the Apple Authorized Technical Support and told me that they do not fix this issue, at least in Ecuador where I am currently located. Not even paying them for the work! The only solution they've given me, is to change the whole screen with the hinges and that would cost about USD 600!!!! which I find ridiculously expensive for a Mac that nobody wants to pay 300 for!

They would not even change the hinge for the money! The only solution they've given me, is to change the whole screen with the hinges for new ones and that would cost about USD 600!!!! which I find ridiculously expensive for a Mac that nobody wants to pay USD300 for!
So I decided to make a hinge myself and see how it works.
Otherwise I will have to tie it with a rope or something to hold the screen on its place.
