iPhone 3GS: 3GS - White Screen of Death

I replace the display panel on a 3GS with relative ease. PC and iTunes recognizes device and was able to sync as well. However all I get is the white screen. I have tried the hard reset (Power/Home button for 10 secs) and nothing apparently happens at all. I have removed panel and rechecked seating of connections too. Anyone out there have any advice as where to go from here. I purchased a used display panel from ifixit.com and assume it is working fine.

Thanks

iPhone 3GS: Enter DFU mode with broken power button?

The lock/power button on the phone is broken after it got wet. Phone was working fine for 2 weeks, now it's stuck on the Apple logo after resetting network settings. Can i enter DFU mode without a power button?

In more detail: I dried the phone in dessicant for some days , then it was working fine for 2 weeks or so , with the exception of the power button which was electronically stuck at the on position. (after booting up, the red power-off slider would appear as if the button was being pressed. I could tap Cancel and use the phone as normal, only the lock/power button would not do anything. )

Anyway the other day i decided to reset my network settings after trying out an app from the iTunes store that tweaks the packet size to supposedly increase 3G data speed. After the reset, the phone is stuck on the Apple logo. It stays there for a few minutes, then resets and gets stuck again, and so on until i turn it off by holding down the home button for a while.

Any chance of restoring the phone somehow? Is it the power button that is broken or could it be the motherboard?

Thanks !

Since there are 4 in my household I suppose it was bound to happen:) Anyhow one day my Iphone started to turn itself off without any reason at all turned it back on and this happened multiple times. Now the Iphone can not be charged by the Computer and is not recognized. Stays absolutely dark and dead when plugged in the PC on any USB port. When I plug it into my AC adapter it comes on and charges but the moment I unplug the cord from the charger the Iphone dies again. Anyone have any idea. New Battery? New Logicboard? Iphone4?
Details : The battery was at the end of its life , it couldn't bring enough power to the baseband chip.

█►► IMPORTANT : ◄◄█ == After replacing the battery you'll need to flash the BB to 06.15 again or if you had stock BB then do a simple restore

Hi, I just bought a used 3GS from Ebay , it was stuck on Recovery Loop , I fixed it.

But then when I started to use the phone , after 3min of use , it will restart by itself. No matter the firmware (tried many versions + jailbroken/non jailbroken ...)

I think it's an hardware issue , what do you suggest me to do ? (I already took it apart , visually seems OK , all connectors are there ...)

Noticed that it will also reboot by itself in recovery mode too but not during restores

ADDITIONNAL INFO : No matter if it's plugged or not , the reboot problem occur

Didn't notice but the baseband seems corrupted 06.15 failed , wifi greyd , bluetooth too . I'll try changing the battery but it might be baseband corruption causing the phone to reboot .

The corruption is software , I might be able to fix it ?

iPhone 3GS: Possessed iPhone! It's doing it's own thing! Started with home button.

I think I may know what I did wrong now that I look back...I had yanked this old iphone cable from my iphone without realizing that it had those side lock buttons...

Then my home button stopped working. I took it in and they told me to re install everything. I did that twice and it went to the emergency screen. So I brought it back...and they said they'd fix it only to tell me that they couldn't because I had "unlocked" it and therefore voided the warranty. I actually had to ask them what "unlocking" was!!!!

Anyways, so frustration aside, I picked it up today and was able to restore everything from my backup. But then it started acting up. Now the screen goes back and forth as if fingers where swiping to the search screen or the second screen of apps. If I open an app, it automatically goes back to the home screen and then jumps around to other things. It's acting like it's possessed!!

Anyone know what's really wrong here?

I bought a 3Gs on the bay, with water damage (in all probability)

already replaced digitizer, LCD, 6R8 coil for backlight…

still have to fix the signal issue but with the last engagement i get an strange error, which doesnt disappear: i don't get the "No SIM" notification anylonger.it shows "Searching..." or "No Signal" all the time, even if there is a SIM inside. The SIM which i use for testing works fine on my other 3Gs and even if there are signal issues/SIMlock it should be recognized. so this was the case before i did the last fix (6r8 coil).
