iPad 3G: Where Can I Buy A Replacement Battery?

Hello,

I own a Apple iPad 1st Generation 64GB 3G/GPS or A1337 of which when I plug in and attempt to turn on boot-loops. When I attempt to put it into DFU mode and plug it into a PC or Mac it will either immediately turn off (the iPad only boot-loops when plugged in) or if I used a adapter that allowed it to be plugged into power and the Mac or PC at the same time, it would not show up on iTunes. I'm 95% sure that it is a battery problem meaning I need a replacement battery. I looked on the iFixIt Store and the oldest iPad they supply parts for (let alone battery replacements) is the iPad 2 and anywhere else I could find that supplied battery replacements for the iPad 1st gen were on sketchy websites or hosted by sketchy sellers on places like EBay and AliExpress (even Wish at one point)

If anyone can help by sending a link or showing me a place to find a replacement battery I would be really grateful.

Thank you,

iPad 3G: Do I just need to get a new one

I dropped my iPad numerous times and the screen cracked. Pretty bad. And I got bored one day and started picking at the glass which came right off. Now there is a pretty big hole in the bottom left hand corner and I can see a screw. And a big hole starting at my home button and continuing to the left. It's been working fine until about 2 weeks ago when the screen started spazzing out and making motions on the screen (deleting stuff, opening apps, moving the screen) it was almost as if a ghost was using it. Then i noticed the other night the whole bottom half of my screen wasn't working at all. It's very frustrating when you cant type or press anything at that area. Ive tried turning it off and on again and I've tried RESETING it, i even did the iOS 7 update to see if that was the problem but nothing worked at all. If anything it made it worse. Do I need to just get a new iPad :( or is there something i can possibly do to fix it without buying a fix your own kind of thing offline.

iPad 3G: This iPad keeps bootlooping, do I need to replace the battery?

I have gotten an iPad from my dad recently and when I plugged it in, it bootlooped so I decided to wait for a while. Then after around an hour it still did it and when I unplugged it, it stopped bootlooping but it does not turn on, then plugging back in it started bootlooping again. Does this mean I have to replace the battery?

iPad 3G: Is the battery for the iPad 2 compatible with the iPad 1?

Hello,

I have a 64GB 3G/GPS iPad 1st Gen (A1337) of which boot-loops whenever I start charging it and try to turn it on. I am currently trying to find a replacement battery for it and cannot find one that looks legitimate. I looked on the store here at iFixIt but the oldest gen iPad battery replacement I could find was a replacement for the iPad 2. So I am wondering if I buy the iPad 2 replacement battery if it will work with my iPad 1 and if not where can I buy a replacement.

iPad 3G: Dead original iPad: should it work plugged in but with dead battery?

I worked on a dead iPad today. The owner thought the battery was dead and so brought a replacement obtained from eBay (in fact, a complete rear shell with battery still glued in place). The original battery indeed read 0V - evidently it'd gone into protective hibernation, but the replacement read 2.5V - probably on the verge of going into hibernation. (Probably not a lot of life left in it, but that's not my concern for the moment.)

We replaced the battery and put it all back together, but still no sign of life. We tried with it plugged into a 1A powebank but still the same. I suspect either a faulty logic board or faulty screen. I'll advise the owner to see if iTunes will recognise it.

But first, my question: should an original iPod boot up when plugged in even with a dead or fully discharged battery (as an iPhone 4 does but not an iPhone 5, to my recollection)?

iPad 3G: Repacement digitizer had dead zones

I've replaced the digitizer on my ipad because it was cracked.

The reassembly went okay but there are zones that don't work. Particularly the top 30mm or so. I have to keep rotating the the screen to access different keys on the keyboard when typing. I've essentially given up trying to use it but thought to give it one last try.

Of course the digitizer itself may be faulty but I'm wondering if it's a connectivity issue in the ribbon connector?

iPad 3G: How to restore the OS to my iPad that was removed by an update?

A few years ago, I was informed by my iPad (that worked perfectly fine at that point to watch youtubes) that it needed to be updated.
I connected it to my laptop and ran the update as per instructions. Only for the process to halt with a message that my iPad1 is no longer supported.
But the update process already removed or altered the operating system, so that when it disconnected, I was left with an iPad that is still physically perfect but no longer works!
I feel like it was deliberately destroyed by the "update" that clearly had not intention of updating it, but provided no warning that the process would remove its functionality.
Is there any way to restore its functionality?
