iPad 2 CDMA: iPad Reboots After ~5 minutes Following Digitizer Replacement

I recently repaired my first iPad digitizer. The part I ordered was said to be OEM grade. Following the repair the device seemed to work fine. After around 5-10 minutes of use it would shut off and reboot. Tried hard reset, restore, and even some random work arounds that were recommend to me. After restoring I was able to use the device for several minutes and didn’t have any issue. I let it sit for several hours and never had it reset. Returned the device to its owner and they said it started to do the same thing. My question is what could cause this and what I need to do to prevent it in the future.

iPad 2 CDMA: Home Button Doesn't Work - What is Home Flat?

A response elsewhere in this site suggested that a reason the home button may not work is that the damage causing a home flat may have occurred. I’ve never heard of this. What is home flat, and how is it repaired?

iPad 2 CDMA: New screen not working

My ipad 2 suddenly stopped coming on. That is to say that the screen wouldn't power on or respond to the home button being pressed. When plugged into the computer, the device is recognised and if I didn't have a screen lock I'd be able to transfer data.

It was my thinking that the screen was broken and so I purchased a replacement screen for £20. It has a very sturdy and easy to fit cable, so I don't think I made any mistaked here, but the screen still does not come on.

Could this be a problem with the chipset, or perhaps by sheer bad luck did I buy a faulty replacement screen?

iPad 2 CDMA: LCD dims altogether when fully seated or when digitizer gets close

I have an iPad 2 bought off eBay. After putting in a new logic board, it's either very dim or it goes dim once the digitizer is lowered (I'm powering this on to make sure all systems are good before adhering the glass to the device). Sometimes, the LCD will be fine but once I lower the digitizer, it dims or turns off. When I could get the digiziter down w/o it doing that, then I couldn't get slide the lock off. I doubt it's a broken digitizer as I've tried 2 others. I can't do the power +home button trick to reset or do the other reset. I've doublechecked that everything is sitting correctly in the case. The digitizer glass sits flush with the bevel.

I'm stumped and really don't want to buy any more parts. Any ideas? TIA.

iPad 2 CDMA: Why does my screen have flickering red lines?

So, when I was disconnecting the lcd cable from the iPad, I may have broken one of the resistor/diode things on the board, but I am not sure. Now, there is a constant red lines across the whole screen when I turn it on. Is there any way to "jumper" this spot to fix the red screen issue? Thanks in advance for the help on the this forum. I greatly appreciate it!

iPad 2 CDMA: Ipad 2 A1397, 16 GB WiFi/Verizon: Black/cloudy screen with internet

I've searched the site but might not be smart enough to understand what I'm looking for. Whether I'm using the cell function or WiFi, it'll disconnect from the internet, going to a grayish-black, somewhat mottled screen. Then up comes the normal display within about five to ten seconds. All apps work, and nothing shuts off with apps even when I use them half an hour. Perfect display clarity, color, etc. Touch function works. Fully charged.

Downloaded update to OS via WiFi without any cut-out or shut-down.

What on earth is wrong with this thing? I read the whole process of dismantling an Ipad 2, and while I've never done that before, I'm totally game. However, I just don't know which part I should be replacing. Patient assistance for someone who only understands the guts of a PC is eagerly sought.
