Toaster: Cuisinart 2-Slice Toaster spring popped out while cleaning—now broken

While cleaning the crumbs out of my toaster, a long metal rod fell out and then later I found a long spring that must go around the rod on the floor - guess it flew out while I was banging out the crumbs (upside down). It has something to do with the pull down lever but I can't figure out where it would go or how to put in back in. Now the "toast holder" inside is broken and just wiggles around. Does anyone know where these things go and how to put them back?

thank you!

Black and Decker TR1278B: Why did my Black and Decker toaster stop working?

This is a 2 part question. MY Black and Decker toaster stopped working. If I hold down the leaver, it WILL toast bread but the leaver will not stay down to toast the bread. But 1st, something I’ve never seen before. On the bottom of the unit there are 4 screws, one of them, on first glance, LOOKS like a regular flat headed screw. BUT, on closer examination, that screw has a built in “bar” across the slot. This prohibits the screw from ever being unscrewed. Very, very strange. Incidentally, the repair guide for the Black and Decker toaster (on ifixit) says the unit has 4 Philip headed screws. That is wrong. It has 3 Philip headed screws and that bizarre looking screw. Has anyone ever run across that weird screw ? Until I can figure out how to unscrew it, I can not proceed. Thanks for any input.

Toaster: Toastmaster TM1046U Global Design heats up for only a few seconds

I can't find any info online about the Toastmaster Global Design toaster (model 1046U), which appears to be from the 1990s. The problem is that it heats up fine and stays down, but only for about 10 seconds, then it turns off. This happens regardless of darkness setting. It's a cool toaster that I'd love to be able to fix and use. Thanks in advance!

Toaster: How to get the toaster lever to stay down.

I have a Brentwood model TS-292R toaster. We bought it 4 months ago and when we went to use it the toaster lever wouldn’t stay down with or without bread in it. I think it is the magnet that isn’t any good. How can I test it to make sure and if it is where can I get another magnet? We were going to send it back to the company, but we were going to have to pay to send it and pay to have it returned to us which would be more than buying a new one. I am never buying another appliance where I am having to pay to have to send it some where to have it repaired or replaced when it is supposed to be under warranty.

Thank You
