I have a TCL 43S525TAAA or maybe 43S525-TAAA. It's backlight configuration is not the standard 43S525 (1 connector on each top middle and bottom strips) but rather 1 connector on top, 2 connector on middle, and 1 connector on bottom.

I no longer have the original strips as I had replaced them with 43S525 strips from ShopJimmy. So I don't have the part number anymore and TCL cannot identify specific parts for variants.

I was wondering if anyone could identify the part, or point me to a comparable one.

The strip from ShopJimmy is essentially identical (the caps on the LED, the LED spacing, the mount points, connector type) except there is no 2 connector strip. The 2nd connector is not merely passthrough as leaving it dangling doesn't do anything, so I'm doubtful I could just splice it into one connector and call it a day.

If it's relevant, the identifiers on the actual board connected to the glass are E202404 NPGN-150 19 0319 01 D104059REF-B-28 and TH950698AK17D103Y1MH 1923 ST4251D01-6 Ver.2.1.

My HD75 - UN75F7100 top half of my screen has begun to darken.. I have uploaded/updated software and did a complete reset... but still the upper half of the screen has this darkened area completely across the top and approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of the screen... serial number is Z7MS3CADA01667D

Need help getting my Hitachi Plasma TV running again. Currently when plugged in the standby light is red (as normal). When the power button is pushed the light changes to green and the TV sounds like it is turning on, but after 1-2 seconds the green light changes back to red and the TV sounds like it is turning off. Nothing appears on screen during this time.

TV model is 42PD9500TA. Any help much appreciated!

I just bought a 60" Samsung TV (model UN60JS8000F) off Facebook Marketplace. The seller said it was working perfectly fine until they had a lightning storm one night. After that, some vertical lines appeared in the display.

He said the area in which he lives is notorious for power surges. As the TV still has power and sound, I suspect the TCON board took a hit. I've been watching a lot of YouTube TV repair videos lately and several times I've seen people "work around" the issue by putting tape over some of the pinouts on the TCON's ribbon cable.

Before I try anything else I'm going to try power resetting the TV and also a factory reset. However, if neither of these steps solve the issue I'd like to try the tape method. Is there any way to definitively identify which pinouts are malfunctioning (if that is indeed where the fault lies)? More often than not, it seems like the techs just used trial and error.

Also, if anyone with this particular model has experienced the same issue and can provide some advice/insight as to what I can try to fix the issue that would be greatly appreciated!
