Steam Deck: Newbie - Recommendations for broken USB-C Charger on Steam Deck

Hello, all.

Just joined this site today because:
1. my steam deck's charging port stopped charging a month or so ago.
2. if I send it in for repairs, they are obligated to factory reset as soon as they get it to turn on
3. I have several games without cloud storage that I've sunk thousands of hours into.
4. they absolutely will not back-up my data before factory resetting the device. I've asked.

As a result, I've opened up the machine and started poking around to see what I can diagnose (done PC builds before, but mobile devices are... terrifying...)

I noticed in the tear-down video here at iFixit that the SSD itself is pretty easy to get to. I was able to easily remove it and plug it back in.
I was, unfortunately, unable to figure out how to safely remove the motherboard to inspect the USB-C port and its connections.

To retain that game data, what options do I have?
Should I try and go full bore and just start pulling and unscrewing things to get that motherboard out? (I do know how to solder, so I could, potentially, replace it, if I got the replacement parts.)
OR
Should I bite a bullet, buy a cheap Steam Deck elsewhere, and just pop in the SSD? Would the new system just boot up and run? Or would it then come with a slew of other issues?
OR!
Should I buy a placeholder SSD, send it in for repairs, and then replace it again when I receive it back, fixed?
OR!!
Is there a better, less ridiculous way to handle this, such that I keep my SSD in tact AND get the charge port fixed by a professional?

If this seems very... "Goblin-y", I can live with that. I just think it's upsetting that they're obligated to wipe the whole thing.

Thanks ahead of time! :)

I rescued a first gen Steam Deck from my nephew today. He thought he corrupted the the m.2 when he attempted to install Windows on the thing. In his frustration, he just threw everything away; screws, nvme, and the heatshield. You know, like a moron.

Steam Deck: Replaced left trackpad but it's not recognized whatsoever

I procured an authentic Steam Deck OLED left trackpad, and after I installed it, my Steam Deck OLED failed to recognize it, whatsoever. I double checked all my connections, and checked for any damage to the trackpad, but everything was secure and without damage. The QR code on the back of my old trackpad read: SECN43700B84 and the new trackpad read: SWYFBF7G0030102345257701. They obviously don't follow the same formatting scheme so I'm wondering if they are from different generations. Any insight or guidance on the matter would be greatly appreciated since there is little to no documentation regarding this issue.
Steam Deck: Where can I buy Left and right Daughter Board?

My Steam Deck fell down, from 80cm onto carpet but it was enough to destroy both R1 and L1 Shoulder Buttons. They snapped right from the daughter board, ripping the traces.
