Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Why won't my Galaxy Note 3 Power On?

I have a Note 3 N9005 that ran out of charge and died. Now it is almost completely dead even after charging continuously for 2 nights. I've already tried another battery. The screen just stays black like it's powered off and there's no charging or other LEDs (touch buttons at the bottom stay dark) but the phone vibrates only once after plugging in or pushing the power button. To get it to vibrate again, a power drain needs to be done. The battery is still charging because it gets warm when plugged in.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Screen is broke and no backlight. Turns on, and can connect pc

Hello all, I got a free note 3, but the screen is badly damaged

How can I go about testing, or which things can I check to see if they are loose from a drop (looks like that is why it doesnt turn the screen on anymore) I dont see any water damage or anything. She said the screen used to turn on until she took it to tmobile. Could something just be loose to cause no backlight or anything? It fires up, makes the tmobile noise, and I can get to it from my pc.

Any help would be appreciated!

Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Replacing WIFI and Bluetooth antenas between different Note 3 versions

Hey Community,

I've had my Galaxy Note 3 for about a year now (ebay) and since then the WIFI/Bluetooth connectivity strength has been really bad. If I'm close to the routers/APs it works great but as soon as I step away the connectivity drops to the point where I can't use it. I've done all the software related things like soft reset, hard reset, battery pull. I'm pretty sure it's hardware related. That said I wanted to know if it was possible to replace the antenna from a different version of a Note 3. I'm using version N900W8 (Bell/Telus Canada).

PS: I would think the N9005's would work?

Thanks again!

Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Why does GPS never work?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900T for T-Mobile.

The only issue I have with it is that GPS almost or never works at all.

I have tried multiple ways to fix the GPS on it and so far nothing. I have not however tried to take it apart or do any kind of rooting to fix the problem, and I don't plan on doing that either.

When I use Maps, or any other "location-based services", the GPS is able to be turned on, and it acts like its trying to find my location, but its really not. I have sat for hours at a time for it to get my location, still nothing.

What could be wrong with it? I thought it might have to do with the GPS antenna having to be replaced, but I don't know how much that would cost since I bought my phone from a electronics dealer. And I would do it myself if I could find a way to do it without putting my phone in harms way.

I have no other issues with my phone, just this one. Can somebody tell me what the issue is?

Thanks, Ray

Samsung Galaxy Note 3: N3 Black screen >1 cause requires genius!

Can you help me with repair info re N3?

Rain exposure resulted in black screen, otherwise phone seems to be working fine: powers on, blue/ green lights on screen work, Samsung sound on boot up, receives calls, can hear text msg alerts, can activate speaker phone (by blind touch), etc.

I disassembled and cleaned mother board and connectors with isopropyl alcohol, screen still black. So I'm thinking of replacing it with:

http://m.etradesupply.com/samsung-galaxy...

Before I order I'd like to know whether there is any way of determining that it's definitely the screen that needs replacing and not some other problem? Don't want to buy a new screen if that's not the problem.

Also product description says "Notice: Please test the functionality of this item before installation." How does one do this?

Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Full grey screen with pixels and lines after dropping in water?

Hi, so yesterday, I was taking photos while standing next to a pond and my phone slipped out my hands and fell into the pond. It was submerged fully for about 4 seconds before I got it out. After I got it out, I straight away took it apart and dried the the insides, taking out the battery as well. So, since I'm stupid, I put it back together while it was still a bit wet (I didn't notice it was) and turned it on. It worked for a couple of minutes then the back button didn't work and it just shut down. After repeatedly pressing the power button, it came up with a full fuzzy screen of grey, black and pink pixels and lines twice. The entire screen was like that... have I fried it? I really need answers so anything or any questions would be so helpful! Thank you!

Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Microphone and Earpiece not working in-call, unless loudspeaker on.

Hi

I have inherited a second-hand Note 3. During a call the earpiece volume is very feint and the person on the other end of the phone cannot hear me at all (akin to being under the sea).

When Loudspeaker is put on, everything works fine.

I have completed a factory reset, I have checked all settings, I have performed all updates. Nothing seems to work.

Is this a case of changing the components? Are they linked together on the board?

Update (03/22/2016)

Thanks for that.

I have completed a tear-down and found that the earpiece was blocked with brown gunk - likely to be dust and sweat. This has rectified the issue with the earpiece.

What I can'y understand thus far is why the Microphone works in Loudspeaker Mode but not in normal mode.

Do you have any idea why this would be?

Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Bluetooth range issues on ATT Note 3

Hello

I have started experiencing bluetooth range issues on my note 3 where I can't move the phone more than 2.5 ft and in direct line of site from whatever bluetooth device I'm connected to otherwise it will lose signal, if I move the phone closer within say 5 seconds the signal is re-established. If I wait too long the connection is lost all together. I have tried flashing multiple different roms and multiple different versions of the firmware for the bluetooth radio. I have even flashed back to the stock ATT rom. Is there anyway to debug this from a software perspective? Can I change out a bluetooth chip or antenna? I've done a lot of googling with very little success.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Action Memo is not recognising anything

I updated my Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900 to Android lollipop 5.0 (Russian version and then Indian version). I had the problem with both updates, the Action Memo opens, I write anything with the S pen, I try to recognise it, the application keeps "recognising" for at least 5 minutes, then it says "recognition failed" or it just forces close. The thing is, during the recognition, the phone is just dead, I can't do anything with it because the action memo window is ALWAYS on top of all other windows, even if I press the home button. The only thing that I can do is power off the phone.

The application was working well with Android 4.3 and 4.4.2

I tried to erase the data of the application, and cache memory and nothing happened. I even wiped the cache partition of the phone and still nothing.

Also I just found out that in the application manager, I have 2 Action Memo apps, one version 1.0.13 and one 1.0.16, and the one that is in the app drawer is the 1.0.16. I guess that's the one with Android 5.0?

Handwriting recognition works well in the S Note application and in the keyboard. The problem is in this app particularly.

PLEASE HELP :( What shall I do to fix this recognition issue?
