DualSense: How to calibrate Hall Effect sticks on DualSense (A-0630) without a PC?

I installed Hall Effect analog sticks in my standard DualSense controller, but they are uncalibrated and lagging. I am running firmware version A-0630.

I have tried:

1. Using the DualShock Calibration GUI on a PC, but it didn't work.

2. Using the DriftGuard app on an Android phone via USB-C, but it fails to save the calibration permanently.

3. Hard-resetting the controller using the pinhole on the back.

The main issue is that I do NOT have access to a PC at home to run complex Python scripts or specialized tools. Is there any known way to permanently save Hall Effect calibration on firmware A-0630 using only a mobile phone or a specific button combination on the controller itself? Or is there a newer mobile-friendly tool that supports this firmware?

Ive tried multiple troubleshooting steps like calibrating it but it works for the moment its connected only once its disconnected from the calibrating source it starts drifting again

Currently I've been working on my uncle's controller for a few hours now that I got the charging port replacement I need. I've done what I've usually do, try and learn about the part I'm dissembling, the only problem I keep finding is.. there's no videos about the exact motherboard my uncle's controller have, not only that but it also has a surface mounted charging port or "SMD" for short. Tried using some solder and flux to get the said SMD off but I can't, even then the motherboard has the white plastic block extremely close to the 5 pins in the back so the soldering tool my uncle bought me can't get in-between unless I wanna melt the tan ribbon and the white plastic block. I'm making this in hoping there's someone out there that has to replace a charging port on a MSU_VX8_0.14 before. Also, the SMD has four legs that sits on top of the motherboard with two plastic legs that go through said motherboard and 5 pins in a line in the back. Help would really be appreciated, anyways I hope everyone is having a good day.

I put in new tmr sticks in my duelsense v2 controller. I accidentally stripped out the through hole for the middle pin on the right of the board but it came out whole so I took it and pushed it back in the hole. Now after fully soldering in the tmr stick that one is hard stuck to the left when trying to calibrate it.

DualSense Edge: Finding replacement 6-pin ribbon cables for the DualSense Edge

Hello iFixit members!

I'm asking a question: where I can get the replacement 6-pin ribbon cable for my DualSense Edge? I had accidentally damaged the cable during reassembly, and I need the replacement ribbon cable real quick.

It has to be within the exact specfication:

6-pin

0.5mm pitch, which is the same as the trigger ribbon cable

3.8 to 4 cm in length. The reason why it has to be in this specific length is because if it's too long, it will push against the back shell of the controller, and if it's too short and the cable won't reach either the mainboard connector or the sub boards (which contains both the back buttons and the relays to the rumble motor)

Conductors has to be on the same side.

I can't find the exact cable on e-commerce stores Aliexpress, hence why I asked for help here,

Update: Here's the picture of the cable in question:

I checked my surge protector and ground tested the outlet, so I don't know where this shock came from, but it seems to have fried my left paddle... Board? Some connector somewhere? Whatever button is assigned to left paddle is being registered as being held down, eternally. I doubt it's a mechanical issue.
DualSense: DualSense flashing three white lights when turned on.

Hi there, apologies if this has been answered; I couldn't find it anywhere. I opened up my DualSense and replaced the battery. Now when I turn it on, it flashes blue and connects as normal. The controller works perfectly as well.

The only difference is that now, instead of flashing one white light, it flashes three. I couldn't find anything that explains what this means. I was planning on opening up the device again and checking the connections, but before I do, does anyone happen to know what it means?

EDIT: Here is a video of the issue, hopefully it will play. With the PS5 off and disconnected, I hit the PS button on both controllers. The black controller flashes the blue light bar and one white light. The white controller flashes the blue light bar and three white lights.

DualSense: Should I even attempt this on my own?

Recently, my PS5 dualsense controller has begun succumbing to stick drift, making gaming increasingly aggravating. As I have already replaced the entire controller once before, I would prefer to not do that again and instead would like to attempt to replace the joysticks myself, preferably with TMR magnetic sticks to dissuade further drift in the future. However, I have no experience with or equipment for soldering, which is clearly a necessary skill to successfully replace these components. So my question becomes this: Should I even attempt to undertake this before finding some way to practice soldering independently beforehand, or should I instead try to find a local shop to perform the repair for me?

As a follow-up, since I intend to begin getting into soldering myself either way for future repairs, is there a good beginner/budget-friendly option for a soldering set? While I am sure the official Ifixit soldering set is of good quality, it is also more expensive to purchase the iron alone than it would be to simply buy a new PS5 controller. While I acknowledge that this would be an investment only made once to grant me access to a much wider range of repairs in the future, it does still somewhat defeat the goal of saving money by repairing over replacing, which is perhaps the most important factor in the current financial climate.

DualShock 4: Why ps4 controller does turn on on

My PS4 and another controller work perfectly fine, so the issue is only with one specific DualShock 4 controller.

Problem details:

When I connect the controller with USB, the orange charging light appears briefly and then turns off. Pressing the PS button does nothing. I charged it for over 24 hours with no change. I already tried resetting the controller using the reset button on the back. The same USB cable and PS4 work correctly with another controller.

Because another controller works normally on the same PS4, I think the issue is inside this controller itself.

Does this sound more like:

a dead battery, faulty charging board/USB port, or motherboard failure?

Hello! this controller was my first attempt at repairing and i accidently touched the plastic socket with the soldering iron. im trying to find the name of the socket on the controller that the trigger ribbon inserts into. i can't tell if it's the same as the microphone socket. Below is a link to aliexpress with a similar looking part to it but just in white and wondering if i can just use that. Thank you in advance!

https://www.aliexpress.us/item/325680918...
