I just replaced my iPhone 13 Pro screen with a soft oled screen from ifixit store and I read that true tone would be disabled due to Apple hardware pairing. But it seems to work fine: my screen lighting becomes slightly orange when I turn true tone on, as it was before I broke the original.

Is it standard nowadays or do I mistake this behaviour with something else? (not confusing true tone with night shift)
