Nintendo 3DS XL 2015: Fails to boot, blue light flickers with no pop

Title. Managed to pull off the USB-C mod and as far as I'm concerned the board is in good condition, it charges and still gets power.

I'm aware that if the blue light flashes on then back off again, it has something to do with ribbon cable issues, which I'm more than aware of. But I have a few concerns: namely, which cable?

The most pressing issue is that the cable connecting the joystick to the main board isn't seated properly. I ordered a few replacements so hopefully the little plastic latch letting the joystick cable seat into the mobo will fix my problems, but I've also tried the bathtub moonshine solution of electrical tape over said cable and it still wouldn't boot: not surprising, it seemed to be misaligned each time I tried it.

One thing worries me though: this little black cable at the top. All the other ribbon cables and connectors appear to be intact, but because this was the first time fully breaking down a N3DSXL, I fear I may have roughed this (particularly delicate) cable up too much and will need to replace it. Can anyone confirm or deny my concerns so I know what to replace if the plastic latch doesn't fix the issue? Every other ribbon cable seems to be in good condition and seated properly.

Game Boy Pocket: GBP powers on with the initial startup chime, but screen is blank

Hi! I bought a Game Boy Pocket for parts to try and repair. The console powers on and I hear the little startup ding, but the screen is blank no matter how I turn the contrast wheel. And I don't hear sounds from the inserted game, so I don't know if that's loading.

There's definitely some corrosion on the board in the bottom left. I didn't want to scrub too much away yet though, since it looks like maybe the surface of the board is cracked? Is that cleanable?

One of the pins in the cartridge slot, all the way on the right when the back cover of the GBP is off, is higher than the others. Is this normal?

Any thoughts or insights are much appreciated!

Nintendo 3DS: B and X buttons unresponsive

I've probably dropped my original model 3DS dozens of times since I bought it in 2011, but the B and X buttons are now unresponsive after it fell a foot out of my pants pocket when I was sitting down. They only work if pressed hard; merely tapping them will not work. I opened it up and cleaned the buttons and wiped the contacts on the motherboard with isopropyl alcohol (the contacts didn't look dirty at all), but it didn't help. Any idea what the problem could be?

Also, while not a big deal, the green "3D" LED no longer lights up after I opened up the 3DS. The 3D slider hasn't worked for years and the 3D is stuck on, but I don't want to risk fixing this if it requires heating and prying off the upper display front panel.

I used UV glue in the meantime but now my 3ds intermittently turns off every once in awhile. How can i fix this without buying a whole new 3ds?

! I hope someone might be able to help me out here.

I was doing a capture card mod on my New3DSLL (the japan version of XL) a year or so ago now and when I got to the step on making sure everything still worked, well it didn’t work. With the battery connected I get no reactions from the device when trying to power it on. No amber, no blue, no lights at all. If I plug it in without thr battery the amber light lights up for 5seconds then goes off. If I connect the battery and the charge it lights up amber but still does not turn on.

I believe I may have accidentally put the battery in in reverse when I was trying to test ot initially, but cannot be too certain that that was the case.

I tested the red (0.012) and the blue ( 0L and then 12.00) as labeled on that one picture that floats around from infinity (it wont let me add the picture sorry). I am not too knowledgeable with multimeters and dont know if this is right.

Does this sound like a case of one of the fuses or the chip on the daughter board for the abxy being blown or does it sound like something else is wrong along the way of doing the mod?

Thank you in advance <3

Nintendo 3DS XL 2015: When I turn 3DS on, blue light appears but screen is black (has CFW)

So I was playing ACNL, then I put my 3DS in sleep mode after I was done playing. A week later, I come back to play and the screen is all black, though the blue light is still there. I figured it must have somehow froze, so I held the power button to turn it off entirely. Unfortunately, after that, every time I tried to turn the system on, the blue light appears, but the screens remain black, and I can’t actually do anything on the system. I‘m not sure what to do. If it matters at all, it does have CFW installed, but I doubt that’s the issue, as it’s been installed for about a couple years by now with no problems.

Hello!

Im from Bulgaria and had the weirdest experience with my store that i bought the Switch 2.

Okey here is the story, i bought the Switch 2 last year like Christmas present for me and i was very protective to say it like this, i never hit it or dropped it and et cetera.

And one day out of nowhere i notice weird circles and weird greenish and whiteish pixel at max brightness and the first thing was to send it to the store i bought it and use the warranty until i can.

I explained the problem i have ,and i sent the entire box with all the stuff it was inside, and some long long time passes and they said its fixed and i am like very happy, and i ask whats was causing the problem and out of nowhere said they haven't opened it to check it or anything they just turned on the display and didn’t think this is a problem, they said it was normal and it didn’t need a fix or replacement and they started to send links from Nintendo support with different problem not mine ,we argued and i decided to ask repair shops if it faulty and this is one of the places i want to ask if i was in wrong even finding the same issue and people getting their consoles replaced or the screens are just bad.

Nintendo GameCube: Disc will stop spinning

My discs will initially start and load up, I can play for a few minutes. Then the disc will stop spinning during game play. I’ve tried cleaning the lens to no avail. Curious if this sounds like a fixable issue? Has happened with multiple games.
