I have my KitchenAid Classic Mixer plugged into the wall and when I turn it on to any of the speeds nothing happens. I've tried to unplug it and plug it back in but I cannot get it to turn on!

I have a Kitchenaid mixer that's about 10 years old (before they went to plastic insides), and it no longer turns off. Sometimes when I plug it in, it is off, but often, it's already on, and to stop it completely, I have to either push back the speed lever or unplug it. I love this thing, and would love to know how to fix this problem. I'm figuring it's a worn out gear or such, but none of the websites I've found show how to fix this particular problem. Thanks for any help!

KitchenAid Professional 600: Planetary Drive head keeps falling out during use

At some point the planetary drive head started wanting to just drop off (fall) - like, into the mixing bowl) when operating the mixer. Why does that happen? Does something need to be replaced? Did a clip or retainer disappear? I could epoxy that drive head to the vertical shaft (the one that sticks down with MANY tiny long teeth along the shaft, but that might affect repairability long term.

I just bought a 2nd hand Kenwood Chef A701A. It is working, the speed can be adjusted from one to max. However, there is burning smell but no smoke. How should I check on the motor and what to change?

My KitchenAid Mixer is only a bit over a year old.

Last week I was using it to make bread dough. I stopped the mixer to touch the dough to see how it was coming. It wouldn't turn back on, the mixer was a little warm so I decided to finish kneading by hand and let it cool off.

I never thought of it again until I went to make brownies today and it still wouldn't start. Tried a different plugin and no dice.

What I've done:

I checked the brushes on the sides of the mixer, they look in perfect condition. Also made sure they were inserted properly.

I checked the switch itself by taking off the back cover and used a multimeter to check that when switch is on, it was making a connection.

Oil has appear inside the top cover around/ below the drive from the gear box to the electric motor, near to the blender drive.

Where can I buy little parts to do preventive maintenance? Mostly washers/bushing/bearing? I'm thinking to clean the old grease and replace it with Super Lube. Thank you in advance!

PS: I have this same model 6000HD for many years and so far it's working fine but thought to open it and make sure that any wearable parts are replaced.

Dear readers,

I have the following problem (since yesterday) with my Kenwood Chef-Titanium kmc010 (3 years old);

When I started the engine, It's spinning around a bit but with shocks.

Sometimes he even does not run (continuous) and I need him cranking up.

The gear operates noticeably, but the engine does not come at the correct speed.

I think I have to clean the carbon-brushes. (there could be some leaked juice in it).

So, I decided to open the machine. (what I've been doing for years with broken machines)

After removal of the drive belt, the motor is still spinning around a bit with same shocks.

I note:

- The electronics (in the Speed Control Module) look fresh and do not stink or smoke.

The motor:

-The Small Pulley does not have a Tension Pin or Screw .. (see picture)

-The back fan also has no Tension Pin or screw ...

-The plastic motor-jacket is completely closed.

-There are 2 mounting screws in the chassis. After removal, everything is still stuck.

So the Pulley has to be removed? But how? Pulling, heating, striking, sawing?

Who can help me with this?

Kenwood Chef A701A: Pinion drive gear in the gearbox

I have the pinion drive gear out of the gearbox and it seems to be in good order with no splits on the cogs. However I notice the cog spins freely on the shaft and it seemed to me that the cog should be locked to the shaft in order to transmit power the remaining gears in the gearbox. The problem I am trying to fix is the motor running does not turn the planetary gears with any strength. They might start to turn a bit and then stall and don't turn.

My Kenwood Chef (1991) does not rotate and unwinds the nut if the food mix is solid (even a pastry mix). I have had it serviced about 10 years ago because this was happening but it still didnt rotate. Its fine with liquids (little resistance)

Our K45SS still turns on but doesn't have the power for anything thick. Still whips liquids just fine. Do I need a new motor or just a part? Can I do it myself?
