Mixer: Sunbeam Mixmaster - Variable Speed Control - Explanation

I have Sunbeam Mixmaster Model 1-8B, which has had some intermittent variable beater speed issues. I'm pretty capable at most any repair, and I've determined that there's no problem with the resistor or the capacitor on my model - and I generally see/understand how the depth control in the rotated speed controller works . . . and how the depth adjustment screw functions.

I'm a little unfamiliar with how the vertical variable speed control contact interacts with the circular hole in the static horizontal metal contact point. It's obvious (because I tested it), that the further the contact moves into contact with the circular hole - the higher the beater RPM. I've adjusted the depth screw and now the beater motor engages at the 1-2 setting (the beater motor wouldn't even start previously until it reached the 7-8 setting).

Mostly, I was hoping someone could better explain how the power contacts function when the speed control is actuated (turned).

Mixer will turn on and run for a couple seconds but will turn off by itself. And no matter the speed either. Tried looking into "reseting" the machine but the button on the back does not do anything. Maybe its a problem with the reset button or maybe just the thermal overload protection but i can not figure it out.

I have an older Kitchenaid Artisan tilt head mixer and even after speed adjustment and replacement of top plastic gear assembly, food grade grease and phase control board (original spare part) the speed won’t go up after position 8. Even when properly adjusted (60 rpm at 1, 180 rpm at 6), the speed difference between position 6 and 8 is minimal and between 8 and 10 is absent.

This speed problem was already there when I was given the mixer, but I was hoping the replacements and adjustments would fix the speed problem. Please advise.

Every time I try to mixes anything harder than average beaters fall out of the mixer after a few seconds of working. Is there anything I can do to make them stay in the mixer (no I don't press the eject button accidentally).

Yo folks, anyone knows (certainly a universal problem) why handmixer does not start immediately, but takes several minutes until turns on, then works normally? Has 3 speeds, this only occurs on 1 speed. Other speeds work normal. Any components I need to replace?

This is a German vintage handmixer ABC-MIX (1960s)

Kenwood Chef: I replaced the small pulley on my kenwood chef 300 motor

and despite the fact that my motor was fully operational before replacing the pulley, now the motor (which is i've removed from the housing) doesn't spin unless i manually spin it first.

Then it spins normally but once i turn the dial to zero, when i turn the dial to switch it on again, the pulley/drive gear won't spin until i spin it manually again

So, My Hamilton Beach 63325 stand mixer only wants to work on speed 6. It doesn't seem to have any other issues. No weird noises, no rattling, nothing. I have a hunch it might be the motor, but I'm not too sure. Does anyone know what it could be?

Does anybody nlow where the top (#1) and the middle (#3)washer go?

Gearbox of a Chef XL, took it apart and these 2 came out of cleaning bucket at the end.

I am pretty certain that:

#2 (2 of them) go on the 2 middle gears, top

#4 bottom, driveshaft that connects to the slow speed

#5 slow speed

KitchenAid Classic Mixer K45SSWH: Spark while replacing brush and now the mixer won't turn on

Messed up while putting the brush spring back into the side of the mixer and left the power on. While inserting the brush head there was a pop and spark. Now when I insert the brush head (double checked the orientation) the motor still won’t turn on. Guess that means I shorted something, but is there anything I can do to fix it from here?

My kitchen aid stand mixer wont turn on. I watched a video and it said that the carbon brushes could be old. My mixer is 1 year old so i said screw it and ill take a look. Turns out the spring was not even on the carbon piece and now i cannot get the carbon brush out of the machine. I dont have tweezers small enough to pull this out and apply the spring to see if this was the problem. Is there any way to help out?

Where can I buy little parts to do preventive maintenance? Mostly washers/bushing/bearing? I'm thinking to clean the old grease and replace it with Super Lube. Thank you in advance!

PS: I have this same model 6000HD for many years and so far it's working fine but thought to open it and make sure that any wearable parts are replaced.
