Google Pixel 8: Every time I try to add a finger print I get "Can't complete set-up"

I bought this pixel 8 as a refurbished phone from a registered and approved eBay seller. Everything works, except for when I try to add a fingerprint.

I've tried my thumb numerous times and also other fingers. The screen is clean, I've reset the phone, turned off and on, added moisturiser, pressed hard then gently, put screen protector mode on, etc. All of the troubleshooting tips given by AI.

It allows me to go through the process, but the second I press my finger on the sensor for the last time, to complete the set-up completion ring to 100%, a notification instantly pops up to say "Can't complete finger set-up. You can try again now or set up your finger print later"

Can anyone give any advice on this?

Google Pixel 8: Knocked smd component off board by usb-c port

I was wondering if anyone has a schematic for the smd components near the usb-c charging port. It sounds like I may have knocked a tvs diode off of the board when trying to reinsert the board into the chassis ( I was prying near the usb-c and saw something fly off lol). Now the phone has a question mark next to the battery when charging. With the screen removed the smd component would have been on the top surface of the board rather than towards the back of the phone. Any help would be appreciated. I don't know where to get this type of schematic from if they are even available.

Google Pixel 8: After replacing screen, lock screen is extremely dim

After replacing my screen with the geniune part from iFixit on my Pixel 8 running Android 16 my lock screen brightness looks like it's set at it's lowest setting and extra dim. The brightness works fine while the device is unlocked, but the lock screen remains extra dim and dark. I have enabled screen wake on notifications, but even when notifications arrive, the lock screen stays extra dim while showing the notification.

I can't seem to find any setting that can control the lock screen brightness, so was wondering if anyone had any similar problems after replacing the screen? I also can't find any calibration option in settings that could help fix this issue.

Google Pixel 8: Can a Screen Replacement fix the Green Screen on my Pixel 8?

Unfortunately my device have developed the green screen problem, and since i am not living any more in the country where i bought it i am not able to access the extended warranty program given for this precise problem. So i opted for do the screen replacement by myself.

Before buying the piece for replacement i want to make sure that this hardware problem is only extended to the screen and there's no other component needing replacement so i would be grateful if someone has any idea about this.

Thanks!

Google Pixel 8: Black video after screen replacement?

I installed a replacement screen from AliExpress for a good price. It is really excellent, but the front camera shows a black (same as blocking the lens). I can still record videos/images, but the result is just black. The workshop wants to take off the screen to inspect it, but warned there is a high risk of damaging the screen in the process.

What do you think the cause of this issue is?

The screen I bought was advertised as having a dot around the camera.
