DualSense Controller V3: Controller turns off by itself after repair

I installed hall sensors in my controller because of stick drift,
it worked fine for the first gaming session for about 2-3 hours with no issues.

next day I wanted to use the controller, it turned off after 1-2 sec, and there could be up to 5 min´s before I could "try" to use it again with the same result. a few times it worked for about 20 sec and I could confirm that the ps5 says the battery on the controller is full, and no charge light comes up when connected to the ps5.

my ps5 at some point got fed up with me trying to reconnect the faulty controller that it wanted to restart and do some kind of repair which took under a sek, and I was not able to read it.

same story with hardware tester usbwired to a pc, it would show up for about a sec. and then disappear. and then randomly show up at different intervals for the same 1 sek.

what would make it do this ?

PlayStation 4 Slim: Why is my PS4 turning off in sleep mode?

Somewhat recently, my PS4 Slim has started turning off while in sleep mode. When entering sleep mode, the console will make a chirping/squeaking noise (not a beeping noise, like it does when it powers on) for a few moments before turning off. When I leave it for a while, the entire system will turn off. When I power it back on (have to use the console instead of the controller) it prompts saying that the system wasn’t shut off properly. If I power the system off and on, instead of using sleep mode, everything is otherwise fine.

I have tried a few things, without much luck.

I’ve tried unplugging the system and letting it sit before plugging it back in.

I’ve tried rebuilding the database.

I’ve double-checked the power settings.

I held my ear close to the system during startup/shutdown near where the hard drive is, and the noise doesn’t seem to be originating from there.

The fact that it’s shutting down in sleep mode suggests that perhaps it’s a power supply issue. Has anybody else experienced this?

If it is in fact a power supply issue, how easily can I perform this repair myself?

PlayStation 3 Slim: It turns green when I press the power button but there’s no display

I’m having the exact same issue with my PS3. It turns green when I press the power button, the fan starts, but there’s no display. After a couple of minutes, the green light completely shuts off and the console powers down without any beeps.

In my case, it started happening occasionally, and after trying the power button several times it would eventually start normally. Now it happens every time.

I’m also wondering if this could be related to the power supply, overheating, or possibly the motherboard. If anyone has experienced the same symptoms and found a fix, I’d really appreciate some advice before I take it apart or send it for repair.

Steam Deck: R1 not responsive even after replacing

I recently dropped my Steam Deck (LCD) and noticed that the R1 button seemed to be broken -- it felt loose, and it while it still worked when pressing it from the top, it was no longer "clicking" and was unresponsive when pressed from the side/corner of the console. So opened it up using the guides on this site, removed the R1 button and found that the plastic bar extending to the center of the console had broken off. I ordered a new R1 button from this site and installed it.

To my confusion, the problem wasn't solved. The new R1 button doesn't feel loose but it's still not clicking and it's still unresponsive from the side. So I assume something else is broken, but I can't identify what it is, so I'm wondering if anybody with expertise on the Steam Deck can help me here. I'm happy to order replacement parts and do the repairs myself, I just need to identify what the problem is!

Steam Deck OLED: Buttons pressed when I flip the steam deck over

I've noticed that if I place my steam deck down a little hard or I flip the unit over (like when I'm laying down) a bunch of the buttons get stuck pressed. I opened in desktop mode and looked at the controller calibration and basically, 5, 6, 8, 10, and 12-15 are all stuck in a "pressed" state. Pretty much all the buttons on the left side (d-pad, steam button, and L stick button) get stuck. Have to hard restart a few times to see if it resets. I've tried opening up the unit and reseating all the cables but still doing it. Does this mean the board itself is loose or something? May try to completely disassemble the left side and put back together. Anyone have any other ideas on what it could be?

DualShock 2: Replacement DPad and Brace?

Steam Deck: Steam Deck LCD persistent Steam app crash and logo loop across new SSD and reimage

My Steam Deck LCD (bought in 2022) is stuck in a Steam logo boot loop, and the Steam app consistently crashes after being open for a while in Desktop mode. I have already tried:

- Replacing the old SSD with a brand-new SSD (thinking the old one failed)

- Completely reimaging SteamOS multiple times

- Clearing the appcache folder

- Running `steam --reset` in Konsole

Despite a brand-new SSD and fresh reimages, the exact same crashing behavior persists. Since desktop mode without Steam running is stable, what could be causing this persistent system-level crash?

Xbox 360: Xbox 360 Xenon with no power

Hi! I bought this 360 as untested for a potential old dashboard (manufacture date is 2005/10, and has never been opened until I opened it today).

The problem is, the console has no power. Doesn't respond to power button, eject button, stays off. PSU led is always orange. Here are the things i found: 1.8V standby is okay, 3.3V is okay too, at the power plug from pin 1-3 there is 0V, from pin4-7 there's 0.2V, that grows to 0.3V if plugged in, SMC_RESET_N at J2B1 PIN 6 is always low, no matter what, its at 0V. I tried to power it with my lab psu so i could find whether there's a short (thats potentially feeding back to the power connectors) but nothing. Still no life. The 3.3V is there at the RF Board so that's not the problem, the RF board also work on another motherboard. Already tried to reflow the NAND, Southbridge, and ANA to no success yet. Any ideas what could cause this? I'd appreciate any help! Thanks for reading!

EDIT: Forgot to mention, that i measured connectivity between J2B1 Pin 6, and all the points that are mentioned being connected to SMC_RESET_N, and all seems fine.
