Dishwasher: Does not drain the water at the end of cycle

My dishwasher seems to function normally. The dishes seem clean, but the water from the last cycle remains in after it has stopped. The water is clear. I have read the manual and reset the system several times. When I press the cancel button to flush out the remaining water in the morning, you can hear the water being pumped out, and it sounds like the pump is working well.

Dishwasher: How do I get an awful, rotten smell out of my dishwasher?

It's a stainless steel dishwasher. It was stinky when I moved into the house about a year ago, but running it through a wash cycle clears up the problem... for a day or so. If I leave the door of the dishwasher closed, whether there are dishes inside or it's empty, it develops a rotten smell. It does this even when I leave the door open after running it to make sure it's completely dry. I've tried the following tips that I've read on the internet, to no avail: running a cycle of vinegar and water; running a cycle of bleach in the detergent cup with the racks removed. Any help with how to get to the drainage lines to clean them (or other ideas!) would be appreciated.

Whirlpool Dishwasher: Whirlpool Dishwasher stops after filling with water

My dishwasher stops running after it brings hot water in at the very beginning. Sometimes, it will start and stop various times (I suppose, continuing on through consecutive stages, but I can't be sure what it's actually doing because it rarely ends with clean dishes) across many hours. Other times, it never gets past this initial intro stage.

A few times in the past, I had success at cutting the power at the breaker, and then it tended to work perfectly for a handful of times afterwards before it would start acting up again. This last time I tried to cut breaker, however, was unsuccessful, and now it won't get past that first stage (which I always have to hit cancel to drain the water, which luckily still works every time). --Funny but not, I broke the breaker switch flipping it too many times, so I had to replace that today.--

By the way, it opens the soap tab after 5 or 10 minutes, even if it's not running/washing. So, some aspects of the "wash" cycle are working, I guess.

All panel lights are working and displaying on top.

Whirlpool Gold

Only 3 years old.

Thanks for any help!

Lg dishwasher: LG Dishwasher Water not draining fast enough, OE error code

My dishwasher is 15 months old. When I first started using the dishwasher I noticed occasionally I would come back and see error code flashing on the dishwasher. I would always restart the cycle and it would complete with no problem. Starting this week, my dishwasher started giving an OE error code every time I ran it. I called a company to come out and take a look at it. The technician looked at it and told me that I needed to remove my floor in the kitchen so he could pull the dishwasher back and look at the drain hose. He told me it looked like the drain hose was clogged because when he blew on the drain hose he didn't see any bubbles. It would cost me $260 to fix the hose, plus my cost to remove the laminate. After he left I took the drain hose off of the connection to the garbage disposal and put it in a bucket then I ran the dishwasher. The water came out of the dishwasher into the bucket and filled it up. When I lifted the hose up to the height of the dishwasher drain, the water stopped coming out. Can anyone explain why it would drain when it was low but stop when I raise it? Is the technician right and I have a clogged hose?

Kitchenaid Dishwasher: Dishwasher does not heat the water or dry the dishes

Hi Everyone, I am trying to get some help with a KitchenAid Dishwasher, Model KUDE60FVSS2, that is having problems with heating the water and drying the dishes.

I read other posts and already have done the following:

1) Replaced Heating Element

2) Replaced High Limit Thermostat

3) Rebooted the Control Board

3) Visually Inspected Control Board (No burns, loose wires)

What continues to happen is:

1) During Normal Wash cycle/Hi-Temp Scrub/Sani-Rinse: The water stays cool (cannot tell if the heating element heats up or not)

2) Heat Dry: The heating element does heat up some - but it does not get hot like it used to.

So, any idea why the water not heat up during any of the cycles? My initial thought was the Hi Limit Thermostat, but I checked it with a Multi-Meter and it has continuity (around 17 ohms). And then I replaced it just to be sure.

Is there an actual thermostat on the dishwasher? (I could not find one in the parts list)

Is there anything else to try before looking at the Control Board?

Whirlpool Quiet Partner I Dishwasher: Flashing Lights on Control Panel

Last night, I went to start my dishwasher. I pressed the Start button before noticing that I was on "Pots and Pans" instead of "Normal". I immediately pressed the "Cancel" button in order to change the cycle. I heard the drain cycle start and finish, then I saw the "Normal" button flashing. I could not select any other cycle, and got no reaction when pressing "Start". I pressed the "Cancel" button again, but it just started flashing as well as the "Normal" button. At this point, I flipped the circuit breaker off, counted to 10, and flipped it back on. This made the "Cancel" button stop flashing, but the "Normal" button kept flashing. I then checked the interior to make sure that the overfill cover moved freely, that the sprayers could all turn freely, and that the filters were clear. No change. I tried the reset procedures found elsewhere in this forum (alternately pressing "Heated Dry" and "Normal"; pressing any three buttons in sequence three times; and pressing and holding various buttons for three seconds each) with no success. The trouble shooting guide from Whirlpool does not address anything associated with flashing lights. I've left the door open and unlatched for 12 hours now with no change. Any suggestions that don't involve calling a repairman?

Dishwasher: Miele Dishwasher Error F78 - Circulation Pump issue

I have a Miele Dishwasher G2872 SCVi. Lately, it has started to beep and shows “Technical Fault F78” on its display about 4-5 minutes into the wash cycle. Miele Tech Support say F78 means a fault with the circulation pump.

Did some initial checks - it looks like the water is draining out without problems and fresh water is coming in too. The filter is clean, and there appears to be no blockage in the circulation pump (I can move it easily by hand).

Whirlpool Gold Series Dishwasher: Whirlpool Gold dishwasher runs in short cycle but not normal cycle

I have a Whirlpool Gold Series (model WDT920SADM0) that is about 5 years old. Within the last few weeks we noticed that the “normal” cycle would not clean dishes and detergent pods would be left practically intact in the bottom of the dishwasher.

This led me to believe it was a pump issue, so I ran a short/1-hour cycle. However, the 1-hour cycle does run as expected with water getting into the dishwasher and all detergent being fully utilized in the cleaning cycle. (Of course, the 1-hour cycle doesn’t clean to the degree of the normal (3-hour) cycle, and we’re left with the frustrating task of washing several items by hand after the 1-hour cycle is complete.)

I’ve followed the steps to do a full reset by shutting power off at the breaker, then powering back on, thinking there could be a computer issue. This has not resulted in resolution.

I’m at a loss at this point. It doesn’t seem like a pump issue, and it’s unclear if this is a computer issue. Regardless I have a semi-functional dishwasher and need some help! I’m grateful for any insight, guidance or help offered!

Update (09/08/2019)

@SaraFilthaut and @Ali, in the end we replaced the dishwasher with a different make and model. I discovered that the cost of parts was going to be at a level that made me question repairing a 5-year old dishwasher vs. replacing with new. Between computer boards and pumps, I preferred to have a highly rated and new dishwasher and stop the madness.
