DJI Phantom 3: Controller battery won't charge

The battery in the controller won't accept a charge. When I plug in the charger I can turn the controller on, but it won't charge, even when left plugged in for hours. Also, when plugged in and turned on, the red light next to the four white lights is illuminated. I'm guessing the battery is bad. How do I replace the battery?

DJI Phantom 3: Gimble motors keep turning

I crashed, replaced the gimble cable and the motors keep turning back and forth to their stops on initialization. I do get an good image on the camera. Any ideas.

DJI Phantom 3: Phantom 3 Professional crashed vertical down

I was flying with strong GPS signals in wide open grassland with no trees, building & towers. Within 7 minutes of flight, the Phantom 3 started to spun 360 degree and with no control it crashed vertically down. The crash resulted to bad damage on the shell body, Gimble arm broke with camera ( although camera looks fine), landing gear crack and props got destroyed. The firmware V 1.2.6 was fully updated, compass calliberation, and home point was done as per routine procedure. Still, it crashed.

Can somebody advise me whether this is a manufacturing defect or Pilot error? Any idea is there a vendor who can repair?

DJI Phantom 3: Open the Locking tabs on Phantom 3

I'm trying to take the top off my Phantom 3 so that I can check for loose cables. After I undo the screwed as shown in the Phantom 2 video there are little locking tabs that need to be unhooked. How do you undo them without breaking them?

DJI Phantom 3: drone won't start and constantly beeps

I just got a new DJI Phantom 3 Standard a couple weeks ago. Today I tried to fly it (probably shouldn't have it was really windy) and on takeoff it got pulled into a tree. As it fell the battery fell out and hit the pavement. I put the battery back in, but now every time I start it it constantly beeps and the rotors twitch, but it won't let me fly. Please help me.

Hi,

I crashed my drone from 8 ft.

The camera works, I can see on the screen.

The camera however, shakes uncontrollably and acts like it needs to be reset.

How do I replace the ribbon that has come loose to the camera?

Hoe do I know if I need to replace the gimbal?

I crashed my DJI3 from about 12 feet high onto concrete.

I think I fixed everything, except the camera up/down gimbal swivel seems rough, and I get an "overheat" message. The aluminium plate on the back of the camera was dented, but I think I fixed that. I'm pretty sure it is the up/down swivel, but I can't find videos on fixing that.

Can anybody give me some advice, either in this forum, by email, YouTube, Skype or something? There are no repair places that I know of for at least three countries away!

DJI Phantom 3: cannot start my phantom 3 standard anymore

when I was 2 ft of the ground to take off, one motor quit working causing the drone to crash but no physical damage was done.

Now nothing seems to work anymore, I can't start the unit, does not even make sounds or any led's are working, I did try another new battery but with the same results, I really wish it would start again, the unit is only 3 weeks old with about one hour of flight time on it.

If anyone knows what to do to get it working again, please respond, I would really appreciate it.

I crashed my dji phantom 3 standard about 10 ft off the ground and the gimbal overload alert is appearing on my app. I have no control over the camera but it will still fly. You can still see out of the camera. How or where do I take my drone to fix it. And plan to sell this after it is fixed thanks

The done will come on and I can fly it but you can’t see where your going, what would cause that and how to fix it. We have already tried to update the software but it will not let us.

Hi everyone,

First time posting here. Needless to say I got into a crash while taking photos of my Phantom 3. Just my like, too, that I was taking photos of it flying for my Craigslist and LetGo listings.

Everything else on the drone seems completely fine, except for the camera which just kind of hangs there by its wire. Upon startup it does try to level itself, which I think is good, but I have no clue what to do next. In the photo above you can see how the circular bracket to the camera itself snapped open. I really don’t want to send this in for a $65-80 (or more) repair at DJI because I initially paid $550 for it two years ago with DJI Care. I’m just trying to get it off my hands with the most money possible. I didn’t use it as much as I thought I would.

My question is whether or not I can do anything to fix it or if anyone has any recommendations for my next steps. This is the only drone I’ve ever owned so I’m not sure how the market works on this model, so any help would be MUCH appeciated.

My camera is buzzing, and I was going to tighten the set screw in the yaw arm, but the head of it that an Allen key would fit is missing. So the set screw is stuck, how can I get it out?
