Apple EarPods: Only works in one ear, very quiet unless I bend the cord a certain way

I got EarPods with my iPhone a while ago and I had them stored away, but when I tried to use them, only one ear worked but it was very quiet unless I bent the cord a certain way. This isn't the device, I used it on my iPhone, Mac and iPad. It's the headphones.

Is there any way I can fix this? My cat chews through most of my headphones but they look practically brand new, so I know she hasn't touched them.

I don't wanna spend $30 on a new pair of headphones, especially if there's a fix for this.

Apple EarPods: I have to bend my EarPods for them to work

My apple EarPods don’t work unless I bend the aux cord at the end in a certain direction. Sometimes it won’t work at all and you’ll hear the music as if someone is playing music a few blocks away from you and it’s really echoey. Most of the time the left one works and the right one has absolutely no sound and even the bass on the left is gone and it’s like a bit high pitched. Now if I bend the end a certain direction it works perfectly in both ears but bending my headphones when I want to listen to music is not practical.

Apple EarPods: iPhone earpod jack fix

I dropped my iPhone with the EarPods connected and when I unplugged the audio jack I noticed it was slightly bent. I now have to wiggle it a bit to get sound from the right side. I've got my old EarPods lying around that have a good jack but no sound on the left side due to a little water damage. I was wondering if I can replace the jack by soldering the wires from my old EarPods? Will this work? I don't want to buy a new audio jack and solder that on (seems like a pain in the ass)

Apple EarPods: Left earpod stopped working

After years of use it seems like the left earpod has finally broken. I've tried several things to fix it:

- Bending the cable at different spots

- Pressing down on the cable

I've also used an ohm-meter to see if there was any continuity because of Left side not working. and I noticed something weird. According to every image I see of the 3.5 mm connector of these earpods, there is a white band for the left audio, however, mine does not have this. Could that be why it stopped working? I've never really looked at it before so I'm not really sure if it was ever present but I'm assuming, since every image I see contains the white band, it should be there.

I hope anyone can help me out here.

Apple EarPods: Play/pause button causing distorted sound

So I realize I have the "Insignia" earbud headphones with the volume control and play/pause button. I've had them for about 6 months and they recently started having problems where all 3 buttons don't work, both buds have distorted sound, and people I've been facetiming are saying my mic doesn't work. If I hold the play/pause button down, then the sound returns to normal, but all the other functions of the control switch don't function. I managed to remove the cover for the buttons and it appears like there is a frayed 3rd wire that comes from the earbud side, but I don't understand where on the circuit board it should connect because there isn't any soldering near the "up volume button" that it would've reached and connected to. The other end of the circuit board clearly has 3 wires, with one of them split and soldered to the underside of the "down volume button". The mic is also on the underside of the "up volume button". I've already checked the wires everywhere else, and the 3band jack that plugs into my phone and there isn't any problems anywhere else, just within the control switch. If pictures are needed, I'll do my best. Thank you
